Matt
Resident Spotlight
Matt is someone who finds joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. His favorite food is any kind of supreme pizza piled high with toppings, and when it comes to music, he loves country songs, whether they’re slow and heartfelt or fast and upbeat. If he could have any superpower, it would be super vision, the ability to see through walls and look far into the distance. Spring is his favorite season because it represents the beginning of new life, with fresh colors, blooming trees, and warm sunshine after a long winter.
Growing up in Franksville, he loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, going for walks, and observing animals, plants, and trees in their natural surroundings. Matt lived with his foster family until he was 18 years old and worked on their mink farm, where he fed and watered the animals and caught them if they got loose, learning hard work and responsibility along the way.
Today, he enjoys living at Caraton Commons Green Bay, where he takes part in activities like games, Yahtzee, morning stretches, crafts, and snacks. Matt’s advice to others is simple but powerful: pay attention to what you say yes to, be yourself, and always do your best in life.
Tyajaha
Employee Spotlight
Tyajaha has been a valued member of the Caraton Commons Green Bay team for the past eight months, and she truly enjoys getting to know her residents, taking pride in being that extra helping hand or companion when they need it most. Her passion for caregiving was inspired by her sister, a CNA who showed her firsthand the meaningful difference healthcare professionals can make in people’s lives.
Born and raised on the west side of Chicago, Tyajaha comes from a big, loving family of nine siblings—six girls and three boys—and proudly claims her role as the middle child, the “rebel” of the family. She is also a proud mother to her amazing four-year-old son, who is her greatest motivation and joy. Outside of work, Tyajaha has a creative spirit and loves all things beauty, from hair and makeup to lashes, with a strong passion for cosmetology. A fun fact about her is that she loves traveling, but only for trips no longer than three days.
Her advice is simple yet powerful: every day won’t be easy, but always persevere. Looking ahead, Tyajaha has big goals. Over the next ten years, she plans to own homes and become a landlord, continue her career in nursing, and start a box truck company, building a lasting legacy for herself and her son.
