Verla
Resident Spotlight
Congratulations to Verla, our Resident of the Month! Verla's favorite food is cheese and sausage pizza loaded with all the works. She loves slow music and says it will always get her out on the dance floor. If she could have any superpower, it would be having lots of money to help younger people get a strong education and support anyone in need. Spring is her favorite season because she enjoys seeing the new life and beautiful colors appear.
Growing up in Illinois, she loved helping her parents in the yard by mowing the lawn. raking leaves, and making everything look nice. Her advice to others is to always consider the people around you and think about who you want to become. Verla admires how hard her parents worked and how they always made sure everything was done right. She enjoyed spending holidays with her immediate family. What Verla loves most about Caraton Commons is the great food, the wonderful cook, the many amazing residents and staff merubers she has inet, and especially her apartment.
Amanda
Employee Spotlight

Congratulations to Amanda, our Employee of the Month! Amanda has worked at the facility for a little over years, What she enjoys most about working at Caraton Commons is showing up every day to provide the best care she can while helping and advocating for the elderly. Amanda grew up on the Menominee Indim Reservation and is a proud mother of three children-two hoys and one girl. She says she does not have pets because they are too much responsibility!
Amanda was inspired to enter the healthcare field after her mom passed away, and she learned she had cared for a dementia patient in the home. A fun fact about Amanda is that once you get to know her, she loves to laugh and joke around. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children, attending sports events, going to church, and leading her own Bible study group. Her advice for coworkers is. "A wise man once told me, even when things are good, there's always room for improvement."
