Diane

Resident Spotlight

Diane is a woman with a heart full of gratitude, strong faith, and joyful memories. Her favorite meal is lobster tail — a special treat that brings her happiness and comfort. Her favorite song, "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus," reflects the deep Christian faith that guides her life. If given one wish, Diane would choose to walk again and return to playing the guitar, a beloved hobby that brought her peace and fulfillment. Summer is Diane’s favorite season. She loves the warm sunshine, long days, and everything that comes with it.

While others might shy away from the heat, Diane embraces it — the hotter, the better! Diane was born and raised in Monroe Wisconsin, where her childhood was filled with the joy of big, loving family reunions. Those gatherings remain some of her fondest memories. Her family played a big role in shaping who she is. Her father owned a dry cleaning business and was deeply involved in the local community. He was well-liked and had many friends. Her mother was part of a bowling team sponsored by her father’s business and Diane still recalls how their uniforms were the best looking on the lanes. When Diane’s father passed away, her mother showed incredible strength. She returned to school and became a teacher in the local country schools. Her parents’ love for each other was strong and enduring, and Diane treasures the example they set.

Today, Diane lives at Caraton Commons Green Bay where she has her own private room with a private bathroom, and she enjoys the space — just the right size for her to paint and watch TV comfortably. What she loves most is the sense of openness: her doors are always open to friends and Prince of Peace Church, and she’s able to receive communion, which means a great deal to her.  Above all, Diane's advice to the world is simple and sincere: “Become a Christian, read your Bible, and live for Jesus.” Her life is a beautiful testimony of faith, resilience, and the joy of holding on to what truly matters.

Deleon

Employee Spotlight

Deleon has been a valued member of Caraton Commons Green Bay for 1 year and 6 months. She truly enjoys working with her fellow staff and finds fulfillment in connecting with residents, believing that sometimes, all a person needs is someone to talk to. Originally from Chicago, IL (Northside), Deleon is the third of four siblings, with two older sisters and a younger brother. She is a proud mother of two, a son and a daughter, and although she has no pets, her life is filled with the love and joy of her family. In her free time, she enjoys family movie nights and diving into a good book or article that catches her attention. Deleon was inspired to enter the healthcare field after caring for her grandmother before she passed away. That experience sparked her passion for helping those who are unable to care for themselves. A fun fact about Deleon: in high school, she played the clarinet and joined the school choir, winning every competition she entered. Her advice to her coworkers is: "Never give up on your dreams. It's not a race to get there—you will eventually finish. Do what makes you happy." Looking ahead, Deleon sees herself finishing college and achieving every goal she sets for the future.
